The latest update coming from Germany regarding the future of Erling Haaland is very positive as far as Manchester United are concerned.
The Old Trafford club were seriously looking to capture him when he was banging in goals on regular basis for RB Salzburg. However, in the winter transfer window last year, he signed a deal worth £130,000 a week with Dortmund until 2024 (The Daily Mail).
Since then, the Norwegian international has scored goals for fun for the German side. Last season, he netted 41 goals in as many appearances and was the top scorer in the UEFA Champions League. This season, he has already found the net 5 times in four appearances.
According to Bild, in the summer next year, Haaland will definitely leave the Bundesliga side and his agent, Mino Raiola, would get the release clause activated.
The renowned German news source have claimed that Man Utd are leading to finally secure the signing of the 21-year-old center forward in 2022. Bild have not explained why the Red Devils are in pole position. The presence of Haaland’s former boss, Solskjaer, at Old Trafford is going to be significant (The Star).
As per Sport1, the valuation of the exit clause, that can be activated next year, is 75 million euros but depending on success, it could even rise to 90 million euros.
