Manchester United have been interested in signing Declan Rice for a long time and once again, the West Ham star is in the lime light.
Last month, ESPN reported that Man Utd are looking to sign the £80million-rated England international from the Hammers, who are looking to lure Jesse Lingard from the Old Trafford outfit. However, it was mentioned that Lingard does not want to be used in a swap deal.

More recently, reports suggest that the Red Devils still want to secure the signature of Rice and could offer their £25million-rated attacker (The Athletic), who was brilliant on loan for West Ham in the last campaign.
Andy Mitten, while speaking on The Athletic’s Talk of the Red Devils Podcast stated:
“I know that Manchester United like Declan Rice. West Ham want Jesse Lingard. Manchester United want money and Declan Rice. The Sullivans [West Ham’s owners] are not adverse to doing a bit of wheeling and dealing.”
Man Utd need to reinforce their midfield department, especially the position of the holding midfielder. Liverpool have Fabinho, Chelsea have Kante, Man City have Rodri but Ole does not have a quality play-breaker. Matic used to be world class but he is past his best and warms the bench more often than not.
Rice is a ‘specialist’ defensive midfielder (talkSPORT), he had a brilliant campaign for West Ham last term and also impressed big time for England at the European Championships.
In your view, should Man Utd spend heavily to finally secure his signing this month?
Man.Utd should go for the brilliant player from Wolves that is Adam Tarore. As Leeds deal has fallen for the player. They need someone like him in all ways in attacking, defending and running forward through player etc
Adam Traore would make MU serious title challengers. I am surprised his name doesn’t come up anymore as a possible purchase for the club.
