Osimhen Nigeria center forward

Manchester United have been linked with Victor Osimhen and the latest reports suggest that they have made phone calls to secure the Nigerian international.

Last month, Corriere del Mezzogiorno reported that the Old Trafford outfit are in the pole position to hire the services of the African forward.

Transfer: Club prepared to sell £181,000-a-week star to Man United – Red Devils hell-bent

Today, as per a story covered by Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below), the 23-year-old striker could leave Napoli in the summer transfer window and he has got a number of suitors.

The Italian news source have mentioned that the Serie A side have received phone calls from Germany (Bayern) and above all from England (Man United, Arsenal and Newcastle).

It is stated that the Red Devils have requested for information multiple times. The Naples based club value their prized asset at 110 million euros and they are not willing to sell him for anything less than 100 million euros (£85.5million).

Last season, Man United ‘s top scorer was Ronaldo, who scored 24 goals in all competitions. After him, compatriot, Fernandes, found the net 10 times.

For goals, Erik ten Hag cannot over-rely on a 37-year-old center forward next season and the Dutch manager needs to sign a youngster like Osimhen.

The former Ligue 1 striker started 26 games in all competitions for Napoli last term and directly contributed in 24 goals (18 goals and 6 assists).

The 21-capped international has scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists for Nigeria thus far. He missed the AFCON due to injury and will not be taking part in this year’s World Cup as the Super Eagles failed to qualify.

In your opinion, should Man United offer £85.5million to secure the signing of Osimhen?
