Manchester United have a world-class goal-keeper in the form of David De Gea but the Spanish international will be out of contract in 16 months.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are looking for a top replacement.
Transfer: Man Utd prepared to agree £15.6million a year terms to secure signing – Report
According to a story published by The Mirror, the Old Trafford outfit could cash in on the former Atletico Madrid man and eye a La Liga star to replace him.
The British news source have mentioned that Man Utd prepare a move to sign Moroccan international and Sevilla star, Yassine Bounou.
The 30-year-old has been in brilliant form for the Andalusian club and his current contract, which is due to expire in 2024, has a low release clause of £25million.
Bounou was a key member of Julen Lopetegui’s side that won the Europa League two years ago and this term, he has only conceded 13 goals so far in 23 league appearances and kept 12 clean sheets.
On the other hand, De Gea has conceded 40 goals in 29 Premier League appearances in the current campaign and he has only kept 7 clean sheets.
The major blame for the defensive problems falls to our inconsistent backline and not the goal-keeper. Still, do you think that it is time to move on from De Gea? Should Man Utd move in with a £25million offer to sign Yassine Bounou?
Yes please, most definitely, our back line always look nervous with De Gea behind them , he never comes out for crosses is appaling at kicking the ball to one of our players. He is a good shot stopper only and that is nowhere near good enough in modern football. He has to go.
