Transfer: Man United preparing offer to sign £53million sensation – Report

Now, as per a report covered by Jornal de Noticias yesterday, Man Utd are set to press as early as January to secure the signing of Ramos.

The renowned Portuguese news source have mentioned that the Old Trafford outfit and French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, are the most attentive and could move in to lure the player in the winter transfer window.

It is stated that Benfica does not close the exit door and could demand a fee of more than £35million (40 million euros) to sell their prized asset.

JN claim Man Utd, despite being limited in negotiating capacity, have already given signs of being able to advance to bring the forward to Old Trafford.

Ramos has been in sensational form for the Eagles in the current campaign. In all competitions, so far, the 21-year-old has featured in 12 games, scored 8 goals and also provided 6 assists.

His top form is one of the main reasons why Benfica are currently on top of the Primeira Liga table. Recently, he did get a call-up from the national side but he is yet to make his debut.

The young striker was an unused substitute in Portugal’s 4-0 victory over the Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League.

Sooner rather than later, Man Utd need to replace veteran forward, Cristiano Ronaldo. In your view, should they spend over £35million to sign Goncalo Ramos in January?
