If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Untied are ready to make a surprising offer to sign Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devils are prepared to offer flop Alexis Sanchez to Dortmund in order to sign the 20-year-old winger, who has been in terrific form this season.
The Spanish media outlet have reported that the Chilean international earns £500,000-a-week, which might not be affordable in Germany but BvB are famous for reviving flop players. MD have used Paco Alcacer as an example.
Sanchez was absolutely world class at the Emirates with Arsenal but turned out to be a massive flop after joining the Red Devils under Mourinho. In all competitions, the South American only managed to score 5 goals in 45 appearances.
Therefore, last summer, Solskjaer opted to loan the 31-year-old to Inter Milan. Unfortunately, the former Barcelona man has not performed well with the Nerazzurri.
In all competitions, he has only started 7 times (15 appearances) under Antonio Conte (only two starts in the Serie A) and scored just a single goal. So, it will not be shocking to see him leave Inter in the summer.
Alexis Sanchez is past his best and we must get rid of him but I do not think that Dortmund would like to lure a flop to allow one of their best stars leave. Sancho has directly contributed in 37 goals this season (17 goals and 20 assists) under Lucien Favre.
His current contract with the German club will expire in 2022 and as per MD, he would cost more than 100 million euros (£90million). The Sun suggest that Man United have taken out a huge loan worth £140million to boost their chances of signing Sancho.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
