Manchester United look to improve their midfield in the summer transfer window and once again, the name of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is in focus.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to agree fee, will negotiate contract in days to sign £43million star – Report

The Italian news source have mentioned that to get the maximum from the sale of the creative midfielder, manager, Maurizio Sarri, has been hoping for a big auction but thus far, that has not happened.

It is stated that Man United have submitted a bid lower than 60 million euros (£51million) to sign the former Genk man but the move has not satisfied club president, Claudio Lotito.

Earlier this month, Tutto Sport revealed that a fee of around 70 million euros would be needed to secure the signature of Milinkovic-Savic.

Taking into consideration the probable departures of the 27-year-old star and Lucas Leiva, CdS claim that Lazio are already looking at midfielders to strengthen the squad.

At Old Trafford, Pogba has been Man United’s most creative central midfielder. However, the Frenchman has spent a lot of time on the treatment table in the last two seasons and he could leave for free this summer.

Milinkovic-Savic had a brilliant campaign for the Serie A side as he directly contributed in 23 goals (11 goals and 12 assists) in all competitions. He surely has the quality and the experience to improve Ten Hag’s midfield for next season.

In your view, should Man United raise their bid to sign him?
