Transfer: Man United ready to bid £42.2million for signing – Report

The well-known Italian news source have mentioned that the Serie A club are targeting the signing of Napoli’s, Piotr Zielinski, to replace the Serbian international.

As per a recent report covered by TMW, the Gunners and the Magpies have come forward but Milinkovic-Savic would prefer to move to Old Trafford.

Former footballer, Noel Whelan, thinks that the 27-year-old would be a quality alternative to De Jong. He stated (Football Insider):

“They need this experience and quality. Milinkovic-Savic is definitely not a bad option to turn to, and it’s not breaking the bank in the grand scheme of things.”

The former Genk man was fantastic for Lazio under the management of Maurizio Sarri last term. In all competitions, he directly contributed in 23 goals (11 goals and 12 assists).

On the other hand, for Man Utd, McTominay and Fred mainly started in the center of the park last season and the duo directly contributed in a combined 13 goals.

We have not replaced Paul Pogba as yet and need a creative player in the center of the park. In all fairness, Milinkovic-Savic has the quality to replace the Les Bleus midfielder at Old Trafford. What do you think?
