Another day, another report linking Manchester United with Uruguayan central defender, Ronald Araujo.

According to Sport, Barcelona have so far failed to agree a new deal with the South American star, whose current contract at the Nou Camp will expire in 2023.

Transfer: Man Utd can agree £58m-£67m fee to finally sign star – Report

The Catalan news source have mentioned that the Red Devils have already submitted a proposal to sign the 23-year-old star.

It is stated that Man United are willing to pay a transfer fee to sign him in the summer transfer window or wait for him to leave the club after 16 months to move to Old Trafford on a bosman.

Last week, we covered a claim of Dario Montero starting that the 20-time English champions have offered Araujo a contract worth 10 million euros per season to secure his signature.

Sport claim that the La Liga giants will not present a crazy deal and their initial proposal is worth 3 million euros per season.

Since the arrival of Xavi, Ronald Araujo has regularly started for Barcelona, he has proved to be rock solid at the back, scored two goals and he surely deserves a bumper pay rise.

At Old Trafford, Man United have been highly inconsistent in the defensive third and that is why, they have struggled in the Premier League. In your view, should they pay a transfer fee to sign £33.5million-rated Araujo in the summer?
