Now, as per an exclusive piece covered by Le10Sport, Man Utd have advanced with a bid worth £38m plus bonuses to lure Ugarte.
The 20-time English champions are pressing both the player and PSG to seal the signing in the summer transfer window.
The French media outlet have mentioned that the move is well advanced and not much is missing to finalize the transfer.
As per another exclusive report published by TBR Football, Ugarte is ready to move to the Premier League to play for Man Utd.
The former Sporting CP defensive midfielder is currently performing at his best at the Copa America.
So far, he has featured in every single game for Uruguay, helped them keep three clean sheets and conceded just a single goal.
He was brilliant in the DM role in the last eight contest against Brazil and will likely start in the semi final versus Colombia tomorrow.
