Transfer: Man Utd have now decided to pay asking fee for signing – Deal close

Man Utd have agreed terms worth £112million in fee and wages to sign the attacking midfielder, who set up the winning goal of the Champions League two years ago.

The England international already secured a contract to move to Old Trafford that will make him earn £200,000 a week, £52million in the next five years (Mirror Sport)

Now, after rejection of multiple bids, the twenty time English champions have agreed a fee worth £60million with Chelsea to lure the player (The Athletic).

As per David Ornstein, Mount has now been given the permission to complete his medical with the Red Devils.

Pochettino and Ten Hag will have squads ready for pre-season next week and all parties involved would want to resolve the transfer of the 24-year-old before then.

The versatile playmaker regularly scored and created goals for Chelsea over the years but had an injury hit campaign last term.

Have your say – Are Man Utd overpaying to lure Mason Mount?

  1. Of course United are over paying for Mount, it’s what we do. He had a poor season last season and has only one year left on his deal and even though he’s young he should be a £40-45m player, not £60m. Now that’s not Mount’s fault, all he can do is go out and give his all when selected.
