It’s been a few days since Manchester United let go of Erik ten Hag and the upturn in form was noticeable against Leicester City. Ruud van Nistelrooy seems to be enjoying the new manager bounce and the 5-2 win over the Foxes offers some promise.
The legendary striker looks set to be at the helm for a bit longer but it won’t be long before a new coach takes over at Old Trafford
Sporting CP boss, Ruben Amorim, is set to take over and head the new project for the 20-time English champions
As per The Athletic, Man Utd have agreed a deal to appoint Ruben Amorim as the new manager.
As per The Mail, the Red Devils will be paying £6.5million a year, i.e around £125,000 a week salary to the talented young Portuguese manager.
Amorim is set to take over at Manchester United during the international break. Until then, Ruud van Nistelrooy will continue to be on the touchline as the Red Devils as they are under pressure to turn the situation around at the club.
Ruud has three games before he will go back to his assistant manager role. Among those is a game against Chelsea later this weekend and it is important that Manchester United find a way to get a favourable result.
Ruben Amorim is known for playing his patented 3-4-3 formation which should give a few Man utd players a new lease of thrive. It remains to be seen how the squad dynamics change once the former Braga man comes in.
Manchester United are desperate for some success after many years of disappointment. There were huge hopes for the Erik ten Hag era but that has been a massive failure. Let’s hope Amorim can turn things around and bring joy back to Old Trafford.
