Manchester United are set to finally complete the signing of Argentine international, Lisandro Martinez, from Ajax.
As per De Telegraaf, the player is already headed to England, he will have his medical examination tomorrow and sign a deal until 2027.
According to The Telegraph, Man Utd have agreed a contract that will make the player earn £120,000 a week, £31.2million in the next five years.
The British news source claim that the signing is likely to be completed in the next 24 hours.
So, if reports in the media are anything to go by then the Old Trafford faithful can expect an official announcement tomorrow.
Defense was Man Utd’s weakest department last season. They conceded 57 goals in the Premier League and without massive improvement, Ten Hag’s men will not be able to challenge the top teams in the next campaign.
Martinez was voted as Ajax’s Player of the Season last term for his rock-solid performances under the management of the current United boss.
We already have center backs like skipper, Maguire, Varane, Lindelof, Bailly and Jones around. Therefore, the area is overcrowded and Ten Hag should sell Bailly and Jones, who are the bottom two in the pecking order.
The manager has already confirmed that Maguire will remain the captain of the squad. In your view, who should partner Lisandro Martinez in the central defense next season?
