If reports are to be believed then the two clubs have been able to reach a deal of around 55 million euros (£47m) to complete the transfer.

As per journalist, Rudy Galetti, Man Utd have agreed an initial fee of £42m and will also pay £5m in add-ons. The deal has been verbally sealed with Inter Milan.

He claims that Onana is prepared to move to Old Trafford and the deal should move towards completion in the next day or two.

The 27-year-old made 41 appearances for the Serie A giants last term under the guidance of Simone Inzaghi, and kept no fewer than 19 clean sheets.

In the UEFA Champions League, the African star kept clean sheets against the likes of Barcelona, Porto, Benfica, AC Milan and Viktoria.

The likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have excelled in the Premier League with shot stoppers who are good with their feet.

Ten Hag likes to build from the back and for the purpose he has opted to offload De Gea and is pushing for Onana.

It seems the signing of the former Ajax player is just a matter of time.
