According to The Guardian, the Red Devils have agreed a fee worth £42.7 million with the Los Blancos to lure the French international.

Similarly, in Spain, Mundo Deportivo have reported today (press image provided below) that the 28-year-old star will be joining the Old Trafford outfit for 50 million euros (£42.7 million).

As far as the personal terms are concerned, The Guardian claim that the Les Bleus star will sign a four year contract with an option to extend the deal for a further year.

MD report that the former Lens defender has agreed a deal that will make him earn 12 million euros per season i.e. £197,000-a-week. Therefore, the worth of his four year contract is around £40.9million.

So, if reports are to be believed, soon Man Utd will officially confirm the signing of Varane, who would partner skipper Harry Maguire in the central defense next season.

In the past decade, the Frenchman has proved to be one of the best defenders in the world. The World Cup winning star has won every major prize multiple times with Real Madrid.

The Red Devils can greatly benefit from his quality and experience in the years to come. The major question is, can he help United end the title drought? Have your say.
