Manchester United have been linked with Bruno Fernandes for quite some time and the latest reports seem positive.
According to London Evening Standard, Man Utd aim to complete transfers of Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes swiftly and they have explored the possibility of luring the Portuguese duo to the club for a fee of £150million.
The focus of this post is on the Sporting CP attacking midfielder, who has been in sensational form in the current campaign.
Transfer: Rep – ‘Extraordinary’ £43million star can sign for Man United
The 24-year-old star is naturally a central attacking midfielder, who likes to play in the No.10 role behind the main center forward.
As far as United are concerned, Solskjaer has utilized the likes of Mata, Lingard and Pogba in the No.10 role this season.
In my view, Mata is clearly past his best and must be sold. England international Lingard is mainly a winger and he has been inconsistent this season. On the other hand, Pogba is naturally a creative center midfielder, who has mainly excelled in his preferred position over the years.
Therefore, a natural, top quality CAM must be lured by the Old Trafford club and I think that Fernandes completely fits the bill.
In the current season, the Seleccao star has so far featured in 49 games in all competitions for the Primeira Liga club, scored 28 goals and provided 16 assists.
As reported by Correio da Manhã last month, Fernandes has got a release clause of 100 million euros and the Portuguese giants want at least a fee of 70 million euros (£60million) to let him leave.
