Arsenal, Manchester United and Roma are linked with a highly rated Brazilian goalie in the form of Gabriel Brazao.

According to an exclusive report covered by TeamTalk, Man Utd and Arsenal are ready to join the bidding to sign the South American shot stopper. It is mentioned that the Selecao starlet seems like the next big GK from Brazil and United and Roma are ‘ready to pounce’ and are preparing bids of worth £3million to secure his signing.

The 18-year-old goal-keeper currently plays for Cruzeiro B, his current contract with the club will expire in December 2021 and it has a release clause (SuperEsportes) of €45million (£40.4million).

Transfer: Move reportedly close – Man Utd are taking a ‘pearl’ from Spain – Sorry Liverpool

The teenage goalie has got to be talented, which is why top clubs are interested in securing his signature but can he get straight into the starting XI if he ends up moving to any top league in Europe?

The likes of Arsenal, Roma and Man United do have to shore things up at the back and their current first choice goalies have been out of form this season.

German international Bernd Leno was signed by Arsenal in the summer transfer window and he has regularly leaked goals. Back in July 2018, Roma lost their first choice goalie Alisson to Liverpool and the Giallorossi are currently 6th in the Serie A.

On the other hand, United have got one of the best goal-keepers in the world in the form of David De Gea. The Spaniard won the Golden Glove award for keeping the highest number of clean sheets in the last season’s PL campaign.

However, he had an average World Cup with Spain and so far, for Man United, he has only managed to keep just 3 clean sheets and conceded 32 goals in 21 league appearances.

United also have a decent backup shot stopper in the form of experienced Argentine, Sergio Romero. So, for now, signing a new GK is not really important in this winter transfer window and Woodward must focus on luring a world class central defender.
