Manchester United are linked with a world class striker in the form of Mauro Icardi and the latest reports going on in the media are intriguing.
According to Marca, the likes of Man United, Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus have asked about the situaion of the Argentine superstar, who is tempted to move to the Bernabeu.
The Spanish outlet have mentioned that Icardi has got a contract with Inter until 2021 and has a mammoth release clause of 110 million euros. However, his relationship with the Nerazzurri is broken and he could depart for just 40 or 50 million euros (£43million).
Transfer: Report – Man Utd willing to pay £154million to secure major signings
The 26-year-old star is one of the best strikers in the world and last season, he topped the Serie A goal-scoring charts by netting 29 times in the campaign.
This season, so far, the South American center forward has scored 15 goals and provided 3 assists in 28 appearances (all competitions) for the Italian club.
As far as United are concerned, Rashford and Lukaku have been terrific for the club in the center forward position since the appointment of Norwegian boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
So, the Red Devils do not really need a striker that badly at the moment and must reinforce other key departments.
Still, if a world class star like Icardi is available for just £43million then the Old Trafford club must do whatever possible to get his signing done in the summer.
In your opinion, do United need Icardi?
