Manchester United have been looking to reinforce their central defense for quite some time and now a Portuguese international in the form of Ruben Dias is linked.

On the other hand, as far as the attack is concerned, the Red Devils have been linked with another Benfica starlet in the form of Joao Felix.

The latest reports going on in the media are very intriguing. According to Portuguese outlet Record, Man Utd and Juventus are willing to activate the release clauses of the above mentioned duo by paying €180million (£154million).

Dias is a 21-year-old center half, who broke into Benfica’s first team last season. Not to forget, in 2017, the Primeira Liga club sold their Swedish center half Lindelof to United and Dias eventually replaced him in the team.

Lindelof has settled at Old Trafford and performing brilliantly under Solskjaer, still, United do need to further strengthen their central defense and Dias could be a quality addition.

Personally, I would want the club to sign an experienced CB like Koulibaly, who could immediately command the back-line.

Felix is just 19 and he has been in sensational form since the turn of the year. In the last five league games for Benfica, the teenage starlet has directly contributed in 9 goals (4 goals and 5 assists). Overall, in 10 league starts (15 appearances), he has scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists.

Under Bruno Lage, Felix mainly plays in the secondary striker’s position but he can effectively play as a CAM and also on the flanks. United do need to amplify the quality and depth of their offense and the youngster could prove to be a hit, however, in all fairness, he is very very expensive.

Dias has already featured 7 times for the senior national side but Felix is yet to make his debut. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the summer.
