Manchester United have been interested in England international and West Ham United star Declan Rice for a long time as they badly need a holding midfield star in the squad.
Last month, The Star exclusively reported that the Red Devils have ended the interest in the Three Lions player because the Hammers are asking for a mammoth fee of £90million.

However, lately, former Tottenham Hostpur striker, Darren Bent, has backed Man Utd to secure the signing of the 22-year-old defensive midfielder, who has been brilliant for the London-based club under the management of David Moues.
Andy Goldstein asked whether signing Rice would make Man Utd contenders for the PL and CL, the 37-year-old talkSPORT pundit responded (via The Star):
“Probably more than that, but someone like Declan in that holding role. If you had Declan Rice and Klopp, Guardiola in charge. With that squad, I don’t think they’d win it, but they’d be doing better than they are now. They look more consistent.”
Every top team needs a specialist play breaker to win the titles. Liverpool have Fabinho, Man City have Rodri, Chelsea have Kante and Jorginho. The mentioned players have been pivotal for their respective teams who have won big titles in recent years.
At Old Trafford, Matic is the specialist defensive midfielder, who has normally warmed the bench under Solskjaer because his best days are long gone. Fred, McTominay and Pogba are by no means great at breaking play and therefore, a top-class DM must be signed.
In your view, should Man Utd revive their interest and splash £90million to sign Declan Rirce?
