Transfer: Man Utd offer big salary to sign £60million creative player – Report

According to a recent story covered by Marca (via SW), the Old Trafford outfit have made contact with the representatives to inquire about signing the La Roja midfielder in the summer transfer window.

However, the 20-time English champions are not alone in the race to lure the 26-year-old midfielder. The Spanish news source have claimed that the likes of Liverpool and Champions of Europe, Chelsea are also looking to sign the Rojiblancos star.

Marca state that Man Utd and Liverpool are the two best-placed teams to sign Saul because they can come up with offers that would convince Atletico Madrid to part ways with their star player.

Lately, reports in the British media have suggested (The Mail) that the reigning Spanish champions would allow the 19-capped international to leave the Wanda Metropolitano if they receive a bid worth £45million.

Saul is one of the most complete midfielders in the world. He can effectively be utilized as a play breaker, creative midfielder and even as an attacking playmaker if needed. The Spaniard can maneuver and strike the ball with both feet and over the years, he has been a key member of the Atletico squad under Diego Simeone.

In all fairness, the likes of Fred and McTominay have not been able to perform consistently in the center of the park and Ole should move to bring in a proven quality midfielder. In such a scenario, do you think Man Utd should splash £45million to sign Saul Niguez?
