Man United can finally get signing done for £38.7million – Face competition

Koulibaly and Skriniar

Manchester United have been interested in signing Koulibaly for a very long time and the recent reports are intriguing.

According to Il Mattino, Napolo want to cut big salaries from their payroll and for that, they could offload the Senegalese international from the club.

Transfer: Club ready to sell £86million star to Manchester United – Report

The renowned Italian outlet have mentioned that the likes of Bayern Munich, Man Utd and Liverpool are after him and the signing can be done for a cut price of 45 million euros (£38.7million).

The African star is one of the best central defenders in the world, who has consistently performed well for the Naples based side.

From 2016 to 2019, he made it into the Serie A TOTY on four occasions. On the other hand, he is the captain of Senegal and has won the POTY award for his country on two occasions.

In the January transfer window, Marca claimed that Solskajer wants to lure the Senegalese international from Napoli.

Moreover, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis told Jim White (talkSPORT) that it would take a mammoth offer of £100million to hire the services of Koulibaly.

Therefore, the above mentioned fee of £38.7million quoted by Il Mattino should be considered as a massive bargain for someone as good as the 29-year-old, whose current contract with the San Paolo outfit will expire in 2023.

Man Utd need a leader to transform their backline. Without a consistent defense, the Old Trafford outfit can forget about winning the Premier League title. Luring the former Genk man would be massive.

In your view, should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer splash the cash to get Koulibaly signing done?
