Paul Pogba has officially joined Juventus after leaving Manchester United for free. Now, the Red Devils have the opportunity to sign a top player, who has left the Old Lady for free.
The playmaker in question is Paulo Dybala. The Argentine international is a wanted free agent and the Old Trafford club are interested in hiring his services.
Transfer: £50m star hell-bent on securing Man Utd move but Reds are poor negotiators
According to a report covered by La Gazzetta Dello Sport today (news image provided below), Man Utd have made contact to inquire about luring the South American attacker.
The renowned Italian news source have mentioned that Dybala wants a contract worth 6 million euros a year (£100,000 a week) but Inter have slowed down negotiations and Milan cannot afford to meet his salary demands.
It is stated that if Man United want, they can sink the blow with an offer that would see Dybala find a place at Old Trafford.
Joya has proved his worth in Italy over the years. In 2020, he was named the Serie A Player of the Year ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo. Last term, the La Albiceleste attacker had an injury-hit campaign but still managed to directly contribute in 21 goals (15 goals and 6 assists).
The 28-year-old can play on either flank, as a secondary striker and even as a center forward if needed. Such versatility makes him a huge asset and it would be a massive coup if Ten Hag can sign him on a Bosman.
As per Corriere dello Sport, three years ago, the former Palermo playmaker was valued at around 85-90 million euros and Man Utd wanted to sign him in an exchange deal with Lukaku.
Now, he could consider moving to Old Trafford to replace Ronaldo, who might end up leaving the Red Devils this summer.
