Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Manchester United have agreed a fee with Juventus for Adrien Rabiot and multiple reports in Italy suggest that the Red Devils are close to agreeing personal terms to seal the signing.

According to La Repubblica, talks are reaching a conclusion and the Old Trafford outfit have moved closer to hiring the services of the French international.

Transfer: Chelsea practically agree £67.4m+ fee, ready to seal £260,000-a-week deal to beat Man Utd to signing – Sport

As per Corriere Torino (news image provided below), the 20-time English champions have been in “full negotiations” with Rabiot and his agent-mother and the deal is close.

The media outlet claim that if there were any doubts in the head of the 27-year-old midfielder about the project at Old Trafford, they were swept away by the interview with Erik ten Hag.

However, to compensate for lack of Champions League football, the former Paris Saint-Germain star has asked for a salary higher than his current one.

It is stated that the contract agreement is not complete as yet but terms worth £163,000-a-week are being worked upon after United accepted a transfer fee of around 18 million euros.

So far, Man Utd have reinforced their backline by signing Malacia and Martinez and improved the attack by luring Eriksen.

The central midfield has been problematic for years and it seems that Adrien Rabiot might be the one to arrive and help. Will he be a hit at Old Trafford? Only time will tell.
