Manchester United have been linked with Jack Grealish for a very long time and the latest reports suggest that the Red Devils could finally move in with an offer to sign him.

Last week, Mirror Sport revealed that Aston Villa slapped a mammoth price tag of £80million on their influential skipper, who’d like to move to Old Trafford.

Transfer: Man United more than serious to secure signing of £40million playmaker – Report

More recently, as per The Mail, Man Utd could offer the services of Sergio Romero to the Birmingham based side as a makeweight in any deal for the attacker. This time, the valuation of £70million has been stated.

The British outlet have mentioned that Villa have looked into the possibility of getting Dean Henderson from the Red Devils but it is likely that Solskjaer would allow Romero to leave.

Henderson proved to be one of the best goal keeper in the Premier League last term (on loan with Sheffield United) and reports suggest that he is close to signing a bumper new deal to stay at Old Trafford (The Sun).

Grealish helped Aston Villa earn promotion last year. Moreover, under the management of Dean Smith last term, the 24-year-old attacker was the best player at the club.

Therefore, it will be fair to say that without him, they would not have earned promotion and without him, the club would have once again got relegated.

In 36 Premier League appearances, Grealish directly contributed in 14 goals (8 goals and 6 assists). In all competitions, he was the leading scorer (10 goals) and also the leading assist provider (8 assists) for the Villa Park outfit. Not to forget, he was the most fouled player in the competition (The Mail).

Man United do need to improve their midfield and offense and in such a scenario, the £70million-rated star, who can effectively play in multiple midfield and attacking roles, would be a top capture.

Have your say – Should Man Utd secure the signing of Jack Grealish in the summer transfer window?
