Manchester United have a number of areas in the current squad that they need to address and try and find reinforcements.
The Red Devils are struggling in the Premier League so far this season and have already seen a managerial change, with Erik ten Hag being let go and Ruben Amorim being brought in.

Among the many areas that need addressing, the one that is screaming out the most is the left wing-back area.
Although Man Utd have two naturally left-footed defenders in the squad, both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have seen their last couple of seasons being riddled by incessant injury issues. Diogo Dalot has been covering on the left and it comes with its own limitations.
It has been an open secret for weeks now that Manchester United were interested in signing Nuno Mendes from PSG but that possibility looks remote as of this moment.
The Portuguese defender is close to extending his deal with the French giants, meaning the Red Devils will have to look elsewhere for their left wing-back.
Now, as per Caught Offside, Man Utd are interested in signing Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri who can reinforce the left wing-back position in the English club’s squad.
The Algerian defender is said to be valued between £47m-£51m and the Red Devils are looking to bring it down by offering one of Shaw or Malacia on a swap deal.
TF view
It is strange for Man Utd to even assume that Wolves might want to sign either of Shaw or Malacia, let alone getting enough value out of them.
No club in their right mind would touch either player with a 10-feet pole considering the number of injuries that the duo have suffered so far.
Ait-Nouri is an interesting profile. He is a very safe bet for Manchester United. He is much better going forward than he is defensively but that is exactly why Amorim’s 3-4-3 system might just suit him perfectly. The Algerian has the legs to keep bombarding up and down the field.
With everything considered here, signing Ait-Nouri would be better than signing some other youngster considering the Wolves man has the experience of playing in the Premier League and might not take much time to adapt.
Let’s wait and see how things play out with regards to this transfer saga going forward.
