Man Utd could submit bid and register £50million star before deadline – Report

Luis Diaz Colombia

In the summer transfer window, Manchester United agreed a deal worth £73million to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund (BBC).

The English winger has turned out to be a massive big money flop and reports indicate that the Red Devils are interested in luring a Colombian winger in the form of Luis Diaz.

Transfer: Man Utd backed to agree ‘great’ signing of £113,000-a-week ‘quality’ star

According to Jornal de Noticias (news image provided below), Tottenham know that an offer of 45 million euros would not be enough to sign the FC Porto star and their move has put Man Utd on red alert.

The famous Portuguese outlet claim that Man Utd remain very attentive to the situation and could submit a bid to register the player before the transfer deadline ends on Monday.

It is claimed that the former Junior FC star’s current deal has a release clause of 80 million euros and the Dragons will not accept any offer lower than 60 million euros (£50million).

Since moving to Old Trafford, Jadon Sancho has only netted 2 goals (yet to provide an assist) in 23 appearances. On the other hand, so far, Luis Diaz has scored 16 goals and provided 6 assists in 28 appearances for the Primeira Liga giants this season.

Do you think the England international, who was a major hit in the German Bundesliga, deserves more time to prove himself? Should Man Utd submit a bid worth £50million to sign Diaz before deadline?

  1. Go for Diaz, he’s everything Sancho has not been since joining the club. Like him a lot, plus it would really annoy Klopp, who wants him to as a future replacement for Mane and/or Salah. Great business!
