Manchester United have veteran strikers in the form of 36-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo and 34-year-old Edinson Cavani. They really need to sign a young forward for the long term.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are once again linked with Serbian international, Dusan Vlahovic.
Transfer: Man Utd backed to agree ‘perfect’ signing of £90million star
Back in May, Corriere dello Sport talked about the Old Trafford outfit’s interest in signing the center forward, who had a brilliant last campaign with Fiorentina and is in top form this season as well.
Now, the Italian news outlet (press image provided below) have covered a story and stated that the Viola has so far failed to agree a new deal with the 21-year-old striker, who is looking to earn around £100,000-a-week and in such a scenario, top teams are looking to capture him.
CdS claim Man Utd could enter operation and submit bid to sign Vlahovic, who is also on the radar of Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Atletico and Italian giants Juventus.
It is further stated that the youngster was valued at around £85million in the summer and now, at least a fee of £64million would be needed to lure him from the Serie A side.
Last season, the Serbian sensation netted 21 goals in 34 league starts for Fiorentina and this term, so far, he has found the net 6 times in 8 appearances (all competitions).
It must be noted that no Man Utd player has managed to score 20+ goals in the Premier League in the past 8 years. Therefore, Ole needs a proven quality striker who would serve the club in the years to come.
In your opinion, should Solskjaer splash £64million to finally sign Dusan Vlahovic?
