The transfer saga surrounding Jadon Sancho has dragged on for way too long and almost every day, there are different reports on the subject.

In Spain, Sport covered a story yesterday with a headline stating “United returns for Ansu” – “United will insist to sign Sancho but his alternative is Fati”.

Transfer: “Too good” £80million playmaker would welcome Manchester United move – Report

The renowned source have claimed that the Dortmund star is not clear about moving back to the Premier League and therefore, he has decided to stay with the Bundesliga side.

In such a scenario, the Red Devils are in the market for an alternative and it is stated (Sport) that they have more than 100 million euros (£90million) ready to secure the signing of a winger in the summer transfer window.

As far as Ansu Fati is concerned, the report claims that Man United would be in a position to make an offer of 100 million euros for the 17-year-old attacker but it will go in vain. Why? Because, Barcelona have made it clear that the player is not for sale.

Fati broke into the first team of Barca this season and proved to be highly impressive. In the 2019-20 La Liga campaign, the youngster started 11 games, scored 7 goals and provided 1 assist.

Sport claim that the Catalan giants will agree a new contract with the teenage sensation and insert a huge new clause. His current deal with the Nou Camp outfit will expire in 2022 and it has release clause of 170 million euros.

Furthermore, it is reported the Spanish winger is happy at Barcelona and knows that he will be a first team regular. Fati is not the only La Liga starlet linked with the Old Trafford club. Last night we covered a story (via Defensa Central) claiming that the Red Devils are willing to offer a good deal to sign Vinicius from Real Madrid.

In your view, who should Man United sign if they fail to lure Jadon Sancho this summer?

  1. Manchester United must make substantial offers for prospects that want to come to the club. And tell the selling teams they have 10 days to decide then move on.
