Last night, Manchester United completed three permanent signings on deadline day, however, they also reached an agreement to sign a player in winter.
The Red Devils agreed a deal with Italian side Atalanta to hire the services of Amad Diallo Traore, who will join in January, subject to medical, personal terms and work permit (MUFC Official).
Transfer: £26million terms agreed, signing becomes Man Utd’s joint third highest earner
According to a report covered by The Daily Telegraph today, Man United have agreed a fee worth £37.2million to sign the 18-year-old winger from the Serie A club.
The reliable British outlet have mentioned that the Old Trafford club will be making an initial payment of £18.2million with a further £19million payable in add-ons.
Last season, the Ivorian starlet featured in 16 games in the Primavera 1, scored 6 goals and also provided 5 assists.
In the UEFA Youth League, Traore started 6 games and directly contributed in 4 goals (1 goal and 3 assists). After top performances for the youth side, the teenage sensation was promoted to the first team. He made the debut for the senior team back in October 2019 against Udinese and found the net.
After that, he made two more appearances and featured for a few minutes against the likes of Juventus and Parma.
As far as this season is concerned, Gasperini’s men have won the opening three league fixtures but the manager opted to keep Amad Traore on the bench. Will he become a star at Old Trafford? We shall see.
