Manchester United have been linked with Ousmane Dembele for some time and the latest reports indicate that the Red Devils have already moved in to sign him next summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devils tried to lure him on loan in the last summer transfer window with an option to make his move permanent, however, the deal did not go through and the winger stayed at the Nou Camp.
Transfer: Man Utd can break record, offer £127million to secure signing – Reports
The renowned Spanish outlet have claimed that Man Utd have already moved to sign the Les Bleus attacker and did make contact with his agent in winter.
However, the Old Trafford outfit are not alone in the race to secure the signature of the Barcelona star, they face tough competition from top European clubs.
MD claim that Juventus are also moving fast to secure the signature of the former Borussia Dortmund attacker, on the other hand, Liverpool and Ligue 1 champions PSG are interested in hiring his services for next season as well.
The £215,000-a-week star (The Sun) will be out of contract in less than 14 months and the Spanish source claims that Barca are hoping to agree a new deal with him now that he is injury free. If Dembele does not pun pen to paper, then the Catalan giants will have to sell him in the next transfer window.
The World Cup winning attacker was bought by the La Liga giants to replace Neymar but he has spent majority of the time out injured. In the last campaign, the Les Bleus winger only started three league games.
In the current campaign, he has been fit and has performed well so far under the guidance of Koeman. In all competitions, the 23-year-old has played 35 games thus far and directly contributed in 13 goals. During the international break, Didier Deschamps opted to start him against Kazakhstan and he did end up scoring a goal in the contest that France won 2-0.
Ousmane Demeble is mainly a right winger and Man Utd do need to sign a proven RW to improve their squad for next season. The Frenchman was impressive with Rennes and Dortmund before moving to Barcelona. Unfortunately injuries have not helped in his career in Spain but whenever fit, he has done well.
