As per today’s version of O Jogo, Man Utd have ‘already started the signing process’ of Joao Neves, who is also on the radar of PSG and now, even Manchester City are linked.

The news source have mentioned that the Sky Blues have joined the race in which the Old Trafford club and the French champions are already present.

It is stated that Man Utd have taken concrete steps with a view to secure the signing of Neves from the Eagles.

O Jogo claim thus far, no official offer has been made but United and PSG have made progress and Benfica president, Rui Costa, has been informed by agent Jorge Mendes about the strong interest of the two clubs.

The Liga Nos giants would have preferred to sell Antonio Silva this summer but due to his ‘greed and less shine in 2023/24’, the sale of Joao Neves is now ‘inevitable’ to balance the books.

Therefore, Benfica expect an ‘auction’ for the Portuguese footballer and want a fee of over 100 million euros (£85million+).
