Man Utd have ‘decided’, advance to finally sign £28,000 a week star – Report

Old-Trafford

Manchester United have been after Goncalo Inacio for a very long time and the latest reports indicate, they are advancing to finally sign him.

According to a report published by O Jogo last night, the headline states “Manchester United advances for Goncalo Inacio”.

Transfer: Ratcliffe ready to pay £68.2m to sign creative player for Man Utd – Report

The famous Portuguese media outlet claim the Old Trafford outfit will soon submit an offer to hire the services of the Sporting CP defender.

It is stated that Man Utd have ‘decided’ on signing Inacio and the future of Erik ten Hag is not dependent on the transfer.

The 22-year-old’s current contract with the Lions will expire in 2027, he earns around £28,000 a week, and the exit clause is worth 60 million euros.

Inacio is the leader of the backline under Ruben Amorim. In the recently concluded campaign, he started 28 games in the Liga Nos and helped Sporting CP keep 16 clean sheets.

He has already won multiple league titles in Portugal and it is time for him to step up to a bigger club.

Man Utd desperately need a defensive leader to replace Raphael Varane at Old Trafford and Inacio could form a solid central defensive partnership with world champion, Lisandro Martinez.

As per O Jogo, the Seleccao star, who will be taking part at the Euros, is also on the radar of Liverpool. The Anfield side are looking to reinforce the backline and can offer CL football next season.

Therefore, Man Utd should act swiftly if they are to finally land Goncalo Inacio this summer.
