Manchester United tried to sign Haaland in the winter transfer window of 2020 but the youngster opted to move to Borussia Dortmund.
In the past year or so, the Norwegian international has been in world class form. He won the Golden Boy award and it is not surprising that top teams are looking to hire his services next summer.
Transfer: Man United willing to agree over £43million fee to secure key signing – Report
According to AS (press image provided below), Man Utd have made contact with the environment of the 20-year-old striker to secure his signing. However, they face competition from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and most notably, Real Madrid.
The Spanish source have claimed that if BvB fail to earn Champions League qualification for next season then the economic condition of the club will require a mega sale and in such a scenario, Haaland could end up leaving.
This season, in just 27 appearances for the Bundesliga side so far, the 7-capped international has already directly contributed in 35 goals (27 goals and 8 assists) and he is currently the top scoring striker in the European Cup.
Therefore, it might take a mammoth bid get him from the hands of Dortmund.
According to Mundo Deportivo, a total of 150 million euros (£129million) would be needed to secure the signing of Erling Haaland.
The media outlet have mentioned that out of the 150 million, Dortmund are demanding a fee of 110 million, super agent Mino Raoila would get 30 million euros and the remaining 10 million euros would be in commissions that’ll go to other parties including the striker’s father.
So, Man Utd would have to break their transfer record in order to sign Haaland from the German club. Do you think they should?

No United shouldnt pay £129M for Haaland, we dont give enough supply to the forwards we have to make paying such a large fee for him. We need a CDM and a decent Centre-back and a right winger before we need Haaland, a player who would be at the club 3 seasons atmost. We need to prevent teams scoring against us and start creating real chances for our forwards first. Actually a £15m punt on Odsonne Edouard (23) from Celtic. We would still have money for other players
