Manchester United are linked with numerous center backs and the latest name in the lime light is that of Ben White.

According to an exclusive report covered by The Sun, Man United have made contact to sign the 22-year-old defender from Brighton and Hove Albion but they face heavy competition from other top Premier League sides.

The renowned British media outlet have mentioned that Leeds United have already submitted a bid worth £35million to sign the player but the Albions want over £50million.

White has not played a single game for the Seagulls in the Premier League, still, his price tag is that high. Why? Because he was absolutely immense for Leeds (on loan) in the Championship winning campaign.

Under the management of Marcelo Bielsa, The youngster featured in every single league game (46 fixtures) and helped the team keep 22 clean sheets.

In the attacking third, White managed to provide two assists, moreover, he also scored a sublime long range goal on the final day of the season vs Charlton Athletic.

With the top 6 PL clubs interested in hiring his services, it will not come as any surprise if Brighton opt to not drop their asking price of £50million+ even during the ongoing pandemic.
