Old Trafford

Manchester United are consistently linked with Victor Osimhen and there is another update in the Italian media today.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Napoli consider all the players transferable at the right price and the Nigerian forward could end up leaving the club.

Transfer: Man United prepare £67.9million offer for “great” signing – Report

The famous Italian news source have mentioned that the Naples-based side are looking to sell their prized asset for around 100 million euros (£85million). For that sum, they will be able to get a capital gain of 70 million euros.

It is stated that Man Utd have made contact, taken the information and moved in via intermediaries to sign Osimhen. However, the Red Devils have not submitted an official offer as yet.

GdS claim that if the offer from England does arrive then the 23-year-old would almost double his current salary of 4.5 million euros per season (9 million euros per season, £146,000 a week).

Earlier in the day, in the final home game of the season, in front of a jam-packed crowd, Osimhen scored the opening goal of the contest against Genoa and helped his team earn all three points (3-0).

That was his 14th goal of this league campaign in the 23rd start. With the victory, Napoli have ensured that they will finish at least third in the Serie A.

For the senior international side, the former Wolfsburg player, who made his debut in 2017, has so far started 16 games and directly contributed in as many goals (10 goals and 6 assists).

Have your say – Should Man Utd break the bank to sign Victor Osimhen?

  1. Nooooo!!!!!! Not Manchester United level. I’d rather rely on Rashford, Greenwood or Mctominay as CF than waste money to a player that will flop.

  2. I think I’d be great if we go for him, but also take a good look at the price tag well and take all things well into consideration.
He’s a young talented player who had alot to give, both for himself and his club
