Man Utd have to agree £68million fee to finally sign “world class” player – Report

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Manchester United and Dan Ashworth have already started planning for future transfer windows and have started identifying targets they can get ahead of next season. Improving the squad is a process and it’s good that the club is planning towards it.

The thing with the Red Devils is that they have so many holes in the team that one transfer window isn’t sufficient to undo all the bad work of the past and re-do it with some good signings.

Transfer – Report – Serious Man United ready to sign £35million player

This summer was a start but there is more to come.

One player that Man Utd have set their sights on for some time now is Eberechi Eze. The club were interested in a transfer for the 26-year-old Englishman back in the summer but formal talks never materialized and rumor mill fizzled out.

The ‘world class’ English attacking midfielder has assumed the mantle of Crystal Palace’s most important player since the exit of Michael Olise.

As per Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils continue to keep tabs on Eze and will have to agree to a £68m fee (release clause) to sign him next summer.

What Eze brings to the table is unique. He is predominantly an attacking midfielder who is equally comfortable playing out wide on the left. He is very good at set-pieces and in general, tends to improve the pace of a game significantly.

Although Man Utd have Bruno Fernandes, Eze is quite different to him. He is a ball-carrying presence and the two can play together with the latter playing from the left.

The Red Devils have seen how ineffective Marcus Rashford can be one vs one and the 26-year-old will be a breath of fresh hair.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Eze. The English youngster is due for a big transfer in the upcoming season. Let’s see if Man Utd make a move for him.
