Joshua Zirkzee

Manchester United have only scored 24 goals in 21 Premier League games in the current campaign and Ten Hag really needs to strengthen the firepower up front.

The name of Joshua Zirkzee has been heavily linked with the Red Devils, who have already held early talks to sign the player.

Ben Jacobs has confirmed that the Old Trafford outfit are really interested in luring the Bologna center forward.

The renowned journalist told GiveMeSport:

“It’s not easy for Manchester United to find a striker in this window, but Zirkzee is a genuine target and there has already been some early contact between the clubs.”

The Dutch striker won every major domestic prize in Germany with Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, but only made 17 appearances for the first team.

To play week in and week out, he left the Bavarians to move to Bologna and his form has been fantastic in the current campaign.

Zirkzee has started nineteen games in all competitions for the Serie A side this term and directly contributed in twelve goals (eight goals and four assists).

The 22-year-old still has more than two years left on his contract with Bologna, who as per reports have set an asking price of 50 million euros (£43million) on the striker.

With Hojlund not firing in the PL and Martial unavailable, should Man Utd make an offer to sign Joshua Zirkzee before the closure of the January transfer window?
