Manchester United are looking to sign a top striker this summer and reports heavily link them with Dusan Vlahovic, who has been in brilliant form for Fiorentina.
According to famous Italian outlet, Corriere dello Sport, the Viola owner, Rocco Commisso wants to agree a new contract with the 21-year-old striker, who has been the club’s main hope of survival.
CdS claim that the Serbian international’s agent’s phone is boiling as Man Utd are in constant contact to sign the in-form goal scorer.
Seven of the last ten goals in the Serie A have been scored by the youngster for his side. Moreover, overall, he has netted 19 out of the 45 league goals for Fiorentina this season i.e. 42% of the total.
In the last 8 league outings, Vlahovic has directly contributed in 11 goals. Without his strikes, the historic side would have been in the relegation zone. With 4 games remaining, they are currently 4 points above Benevento, who occupy 18th position (first relegation spot) in the table.
CdS have mentioned that Commisso’s biggest mission is to keep the striker at the club. He will be out of contract in 2023 and Fiorentina should offer him a two year extension and double his wages as well.
As far as the valuation is concerned, at the weekend, Tutto Mercato Web reported that Vlahovic is going to cost at around 60 million euros (£51.8million).
Man Utd’s No.9 is Anthony Martial and he has spent a lot of time out injured this season. The Frenchman is not even a natural striker and has never been able to consistently score goals.
Cavani is a proven center forward but he is not going to be at Old Trafford for the long term. So, I think Ole should move to lure £51.8million-rated Dusan Vlahovic for the future. What do you think?
