Manchester United were interested in hiring the services of Erling Haaland when he was banging in goals on regular basis for RB Salzburg. In the end, Dortmund won the race to get his signing done (January 2020).
Since then, the Norwegian international has been one of the best goal scorers and all the top clubs are interested in securing his signature.
Transfer: Man Utd told £50.8million would secure signing of play breaker – Report
According to Mundo Deportivo (press image provided below), the 21-year-old center forward is expected to leave the German club next summer when the release clause of 75 million euros (£63.3million) in his contract will be active.
The famous Spanish media outlet have stated that the likes of Man Utd, Man City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are battling for Haaland and the clubs intend to get ahead of the competition to agree his signing in 2022.
It is stated that apart from the £63.3million release clause, to sign the 15-capped international, a commission of 20 million euros would also be required to be paid to the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, and father, Alf-Inge Haaland.
This season, the youngster has already netted 11 goals in 8 appearances, on the other hand, overall, he has scored 68 goals in just 67 games for the Bundesliga side.
The numbers are insane and we can expect a serious fight to hire his services in the summer transfer window next year.
In your opinion, should Man Utd break the bank to agree the signing of Erling Haaland?
