Manchester United have been linked with Florian Wirtz for some time and the latest reports going on in the media are intriguing.

Back in October, we covered a story (via Sport) stating that the Red Devils could move in with a big bid to sign the German international from Bayer Leverkusen.

More recently, TEAMtalk have reported that the player is expected to leave the Bundesliga giants and Man Utd and Liverpool lead the charge to secure his signing.

Wirtz’s current contract with the Bay Arena outfit will expire in 2027 he is valued at around £95million.

The 20-year-old is one of the best playmakers in the Europe. In the current campaign, so far, he has made 18 appearances for Leverkusen, scored 6 goals and provided 10 assists.

Under the guidance of Anfield legend, Xabi Alonso, Bayer are on top of the Bundesliga and Wirtz is one of his most important players.

At Old Trafford, Man Utd attackers have been in dreadful form in the Premier League and the offense must be improved by Erik ten Hag.

Wirtz is a versatile playmaker, who can effectively play in the central and wide attacking positions. He has the quality to reinforce the Dutchman’s team.

The news source have mentioned that Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also interested in the 14-capped Kaiser.
