Man Utd lead to secure signing of £33million winger – Report

Manchester United have been linked with Antony for some time and the latest reports suggest that the Red Devils are leading the race to secure his signing.

The Old Trafford outfit have reached an agreement to hire Erik ten Hag as their new head coach (The Telegraph) and repots in Italy indicate that the Dutch boss wants to re-unite with the Brazilian winger.

According to Tutto Juve, the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus are interested in luring the Brazilian international but Man Utd are in pole position.

It is stated that Ten Hag is expected to join the 20-time English champions and he wishes to reinforce his squad by bringing in Antony from the Eredivisie giants.

The 22-year-old winger still has more than three years left on his contract with Ajax and reports in Brazil (UOL) have indicated that he is valued at around £33million (40 million euros).

At the moment, the 9-capped international is out with an ankle injury but his form has been fantastic when fit. So far, in all competitions, he has netted 12 goals and provided 10 assists this season.

Antony was a key member of the Brazilian Olympic Squad that won the Gold medal last year. The former Sao Paulo winger set up the winning goal in the final against Spain.
