Manchester United continue to be linked with Jadon Sancho and once again there is a story in the media.
According to ESPN, Chelsea are eyeing the signing of former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho because they believe Man Utd are winning the race to sign Sancho from Dortmund in the summer.
Transfer: Man Utd told £131million will secure signing of “complete” star – Report
The renowned source have claimed that the Red Devils are leading the race to hire the services of the boyhood Chelsea fan and are expected to seal his signing in a deal worth £100million+.
Few days back, The Sun exclusively revealed that the Old Trafford outfit have sorted out the terms of the contract with the player to secure his signing.
So, if the reports are to be believed then it will not be shocking to see Sancho move to Man Utd in the summer transfer window.
The England international left Manchester City to join Borussia Dortmund in 2018. In his first season in Germany, he directly contributed in over 30 goals and was rewarded with a bumper new contract last year.
This season, the 20-year-old winger has already directly contributed in 36 goals in just 35 appearances (in all competitions) under the management of Swiss coach Lucien Favre.
Last summer, United lured a right winger in the form of Daniel James. The Welsh international was brilliant in August 2019 and netted 3 goals in 4 league appearances. However, since then, he has been highly average and has netted just 1 goal in all competitions.
Therefore, the former Swansea man should be replaced in the starting XI and Sancho, a natural right winger, who has the quality to improve the offense at Old Trafford should take his place.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming months.
