Man Utd suffered yet another loss in the Premier League against Wolves yesterday. Ruben Amorim seems to have completely shifted the focus from the league to the Europa League to give the Red Devils their only chance of winning a silverware this season.
The Old Trafford side currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League standings with a whopping 15 losses against their name.

It is absolutely appalling to see a club as historic as Man Utd to be languishing closer to the relegation places.
Ruben Amorim will know that he cannot afford to have another season like this and has already seemingly started planning for the future. As per French outlet L’Equipe, Man Utd are lining up a move to sign AS Monaco attacker, Maghnes Akliouche.
Akliouche has had an impressive season with the French side thus far and has 6 goals and 10 assists in 39 games across all competitions. This includes a goal in the very first Champions League round game against eventual semi-finalists, Barcelona, which helped Monaco fashion an unlikely 2-1 win.
Interest in the 23-year-old is plenty, with French giants PSG and bitter rivals Manchester City also in the race to sign the player.
It has been reported that a fee of around £60m-£69m would tempt Monaco to sell the youngster, although that is a significant financial outlay for a relatively unproven talent.
A left-footed right winger who loves to cut in from the wing and bend crosses or shots into the far post, Akliouche’s versatility is underlined by the player’s ability to occupy the number 10 role and adapt his game as per the requirement.
Despite the impressive displays thus far this season, Akliouche might not be the right fit for the Man Utd project at the moment. The Red Devils don’t have the luxury to gamble on unproven talents and need a team that can start shining in the Premier League immediately.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Akliouche and if Man Utd make a concrete attempt to sign him. It is best that they focus their efforts elsewhere and let’s wait and see how it plays out in the months to come.
