Adrien Rabiot France

Adrien Rabiot’s future at Juventus has been up in the air for some time and it looks like he may end up leaving for free this summer.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Bianconeri have been in contact with the player’s agent-mother but no extension agreement has been reached.

The Italian media outlet claim last year Man Utd agreed a fee worth 22 million euros with the Serie A giants but were unable to sign him.

The Red Devils have once again moved in and made direct contact to finally secure his signature in the summer transfer window.

Last year, the deal collapsed because Rabiot’s mother was asking for wages worth 10 million euros for his son (GdS).

This year, the demand has not changed. Calcio Mercato claim Veronique wants 10 million euros (£166,000 a week) for the midfielder to either stay with Juventus or move to a new club.

It is reported that the likes of Newcastle, Bayern and Liverpool are also linked with the 28-year-old, who has been in top form this season.

Last year, United opted to sign Casemiro and Eriksen to strengthen the midfield and the duo have been highly impressive in the current campaign.

However, they will turn 32 next year and Man Utd need a young and energetic star in the center of the park. De Jong was our prime target last year but he opted to stay with Barcelona.

Have your say – Should United pay Adrien Rabiot £166,000 a week to finally bring him to Old Trafford?
