Man United move in to sign £100,000-a-week star – Report

Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger’s future has been up in the air for some time. He has not signed the new contract as yet and top clubs are interested in hiring his services.

If reports in the media are anything to go by (Sky Germany) then Man Utd have moved in and entered the transfer poker to hire the services of the 28-year-old central defender from the Blues.

Under the management of Thomas Tuchel, the former Roma man has been a superstar at Stamford Bridge. He will be out of contract next summer, Chelsea would like to keep him but so far, they have not been able to convince him to stay.

At the moment, the German international earns a salary of £100,000-a-week (ESPN) and he is looking to get a bumper pay rise.

In the current campaign, so far, Rudiger has helped Chelsea keep 11 clean sheets in all competitions and he has the ability to improve the shaky Man Utd backline that has leaked goals for fun this term.

We lured Bailly in 2016, Lindelof in 2017, Harry Maguire, the most expensive defender in the world, in 2019 and Raphael Varane last summer. Still, the defensive problems have been persistent, especially in the absence of the World Cup winning star.
