Man United move in with offer to agree £7.8million-a-year deal with their player

Manchester United have been brilliant so far since the departure of Jose Mourinho and it will be fair to say that Marcus Rashford has been the team’s best player under the management of interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

As per reports, the Red Devils are ready to agree a huge deal with the young forward to ward off interest from top European clubs.

According to Mirror Sport, Rasfhord currently earns £75,000-a-week and Man Unied have moved in with an offer of £150,000-a-week (£7.8million-a-year) to secure a new contract with the 21-year-old center forward, who is linked with European champions Real Madrid

Rashford, whose current deal at Old Trafford will expire in 2020, is a multi-million pound asset and United should hold on to him no matter what happens.

Since the appointment of Solskjaer, so far, the striker has directly contributed in 5 goals (4 goals and 1 assist) in as many league games.

Under Mourinho, the youngster mainly played on the flanks. United splashed a huge amount of cash to lure Romelu Lukaku from Everton before the start of last season. The Belgian striker has been inconsistent in the current campaign and hence, he has moved down the pecking order.

In such a situation, Rashford has grabbed the opportunity of starting regularly in the CF role with both hands and now, he is deservedly the squad’s main out and out striker.

He is definitely one of the best young attackers in the world and deserves a bumper pay rise.
