Transfer: Man Utd ‘have moved in time’ to finally sign £73million forward – Report

The media outlet have mentioned that the Old Trafford club is the main candidate to hire the services of the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window.

The Bavarians are not satisfied with the De Ligt’s performance, they have been in contact with Man Utd for weeks and would allow him to leave for £42.5m.

The Oranje star is the third choice center back for the Allianz outfit, who prefer the likes of Upamecano and Min-Jae in the starting XI.

In the recently concluded campaign, he only started 16 games in the Bundesliga as Bayern ended the season in third place, 18 points behind champions, Bayer Leverkusen.

Man Utd manager, Erik ten Hag, knows all about the qualities of De Ligt, who was the captain of his Ajax side that won the domestic double in 2019 and reached the CL semis.

The Dutch manager would like to reunite with his leader if he does end up staying at Old Trafford this summer.

In your view, should Man Utd pay £42.5m to sign Mathhijs de Ligt?

  1. This venomous habit of ETH trying to sign his own players who have terribly failed to perform is sickening and will keep MANU regressive. Can he be helped by Technical team to get the right players for EPL and MANU.
