Transfer: Favorites Man Utd prepared to move big to sign £200,000-a-week star – Report

The Spanish outlet mentioned that if the asking price is not met then the French international will complete his final year of the contract at the Bernabeu.

Currently, the 28-year-old star earns a salary of 5.5 million euros a year (£90,000-a-week) and the Los Blancos have offered him a renewal that will make him earn 7 million euros a year (£115,000-a-week).

It is stated that the Les Bleus center half has rejected the proposal put forward by the La Liga giants and has demanded a deal worth 12 million euros a year (£197,000-a-week) that has been agreed with Austrian international David Alaba to hire his services for free.

ABC further claim that the former Lens player would like to experience the Premier League, Man Utd have offered him terms worth £197,000-a-week and that is why he wants to move to Old Trafford. It is most likely that the decorated star will sign for the Red Devils.

In the end, it is reiterated that the 20-time English champions would have to bid 50 million euros to reach an agreement over fee. So, if reports are to be believed then the PL giants only have to add 5 million euros to their initial offer to meet Madrid’s asking price.

The World Champion is a four time Champions League winner and there are not many central defenders around that are better than Raphael Varane. For the latest updates on the transfer saga, watch this space.
