The transfer saga of Ousmane Dembele continues to drag on days after Barca announced that they will not use the player and look to sell him this month.
Manchester United have been interested in the French international for some time and the latest reports coming from Spain are intriguing.
Transfer: Man Utd backed to agree ‘great’ signing of £113,000-a-week ‘quality’ star
According to a story covered by ABC today (press image provided below), Dembele’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, continues to demand massive figures for himself and his client, moreover, he is consistently pointing towards offers received from other clubs.
The renowned media outlet claim that the representative is willing to agree a new deal with the Catalan giants but under the same conditions offered by Man Utd and other suitors to sign the playmaker.
Regarding the terms offered by the Red Devils and demanded buy Sissoko, the salary mentioned is 30 million euros per season i.e. around £480,000-a-week. It must be remembered that currently, the attacker earns 12 millions euros per season (Marca).
The wage demands are clearly excessive taking into consideration that the former Borussia Dortmund star has regularly been on the treatment table since moving to Spain in 2017.
In addition to the enormous salary, ABC report that the agent has asked for a signing on bonus of 15 million euros for himself and another 30 million euros for Dembele. The figures are unaffordable and that is why Barca president, Joan Laporta, has refused to see the rep again.
The Les Bleus star could end up on the sidelines for the next six months but it is stated that the situation does not bother Sissoko at all. For the latest updates on the transfer saga, watch this space?
